A Short Walk Along the Dudley Number Two Canal at Bumble Hole

A grey day yes, but still nice for a short photo-walk along the Dudley Number Two Canal at the beautiful area known as Bumble Hole! Starting at Bumble Hole Bridge going past the Visitor Centre and as far as the south entrance to the 2768m Netherton Tunnel. Back towards  the visitor centre via another path. Photos taken along the way by Daniel Sturley.

This trail takes you through this wonderful park to some great landmarks and includes the option (which we most certainly recommend) of a visit to the Nature Centre and the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park.

This wonderful trail is along the former Harborne railway line between Harborne and Summerfield Park. There are many places to join this walk, although for the purpose of this trail we will join at the Harborne end.  In total, it is 1.5 miles long.

A Short Walk along the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal Between Newhall and Livery Street

One of the most interesting stretches of the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal can be found in the City Centre between the Newhall Street Bridge and the Livery Street Rail Bridge, unless you are somewhat claustrophobic! Mind your head and enjoy a great urbanscape away from the bustle of the Jewellery Quarter.

Birmingham to Smethwick walk up the Birmingham Canal Navigations New Mainline with Jonathan

Enjoy this walk with Jonathan on a walk up the Birmingham Canal Navigations New Mainline, starting at Old Turn Junction near the Arena and finishing just beyond the Galton Bridge in Smethwick. You can walk or cycle there and back. Or get the train back from Smethwick Galton Bridge Station to Birmingham Snow Hill or New Street (your choice).
