In brief

This one-of-a-kind building complex is part of Aston University’s dramatic new campus renovation overhaul.

Sat at 10-storeys, this Hawkins Brown designed building is divided into two playful elements: the lower civic plinth, which will open onto a landscaped plaza and will contain a public arcade, café, lecture theatres, and other key public functions; and the upper uni pavilion, which will be a visually striking lantern with roof terraces and teaching spaces.

It's all part of Aston University’s vision and long-term strategy to create a 'destination campus' over the next decade, centred around a central landscaped plaza, with high-quality education and innovation.

Within the landscaped plaza new trees and study spaces will be formulated, with USB connections and Wi-Fi charging stations.
