In brief

Lockside House is currently being transformed into residential, by way of conversion and an extension; whilst the rest of the site will see 5-6 storey new builds, offering 61 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

The Victorian building, dating back to 1887, will offer 16 classic warehouse-style apartments, with all original features kept; alongside a one-storey rooftop extension that complements the industrial aesthetic of the building.

To maximise the site’s footprint, two simple, yet contemporary 5-6 & 6-storey new builds will be built upon the former car park site.

The builds, designed to follow the line of the canal towpath, will offer some 70% of units overlooking the canal with private balconies. A new low-level brick wall & railings will be erected to project the site.

The residential mix ultimately provides 17 one, 39 two & 5 three-bedroom apartments, with 7% allocated for affordable housing.

45 designated cycle hoops will be offered alongside 2 EV & 12 vehicular spaces.
