MIDLAND BOAT STATION:

A new Midland Boat Station for Birmingham Sea Cadets is being erected on the banks of the Edgbaston reservoir.

The purpose-built ‘U’-shaped facility will be used as a watersports training hub and give 1,500 cadets opportunities to learn first aid, marine engineering, and leadership skills.

These new water-based facilities will be open to all, serve a very wide geographical area, and offer dinghy sailing, paddleboarding, canoeing, rowing, powerboating, and windsurfing. Other activities include football and hiking.
