MAPLE HOUSE

Maple House is to be retrofitted and extended to provide 383 purpose-built student accommodation.

This five-storey building, built in 1968, proposes a distinctive terracotta fin, bronze aluminium and glazed façade, backed by a full building conversion and a retained commercial unit.

The building will have a total of 207 ensuite studios & 176 six-, seven-, & 10-bed clusters.

Reusing its existing structure, Maple House will be extended by five floors, taking it up to 10 storeys, complete with a green roof and PV panels.

Offering active street-level frontages, Maple House's ground floor will be reconfigured to provide studio bedrooms and communal student spaces, including study areas and lounges, an eating and games room, and an on-site gymnasium.

There will also be 164 bicycle spaces within two-tier cycle racks and a retained basement car park.
