MAPLE HOUSE
Maple House is to be retrofitted and extended to provide 383 purpose-built student accommodation.
This five-storey building, built in 1968, will be extended by five floors, taking it up to 10 storeys, and will be fitted out with a distinctive terracotta fin, bronze aluminium and glazed façade, backed by a full building conversion and a retained commercial unit.
A total of 207 ensuite studios & 176 six-, seven- and 10-bed clusters, will be created.
Offering active street-level frontages, ground floor will be reconfigured with new studios and communal spaces, study areas, lounges, an eating and games room, and an on-site gym (266 sqm).
There will also be 164 bicycle spaces within two-tier cycle racks and a retained basement car park.
