COLMORE GATE
Colmore Gate is to be reconfigured, resulting in a new part 10, part 26 storey (99.3m) office building with ground floor retail.
The building will be refreshed, recycled, and extended, rather than developed, helping to lower embodied carbon and enable the construction of a low/zero carbon structure.
This will result in a new employment hub for the region - an increase in office floorspace from 171,834K SF to 316,889K SF, employing up to 3,600, ranging from small SMEs to blue chip companies.
Incorporating a new high-performance façade, green tech, and optimised energy strategies, Colmore Gate will be further boosted by best-in-class health & well-being amenities including meeting rooms, workspaces, booths, a club lounge, yoga and well-being space, and an auditorium.
There will also be private balconies and a rooftop terrace on the 10-storey, at levels one, seven, eight, and nine.
Other interventions will see two street level commercial units (2, 583K SF), the ‘Colmore Gate Club’ – supporting young businesses – an improved public realm, and provison for 299 cycles.
