In brief

The Bond Complex is set for a drastic new makeover as Oval RE seeks to add more activity and vibrancy to the site.

The reimagined project will fully utilise each of the 5 structures on site with new office/ research/ industry & event space; improved commercial floorspace, public realm & a widened canal towpath to adjoin a brand new floating pontoon.

The Bond Complex is composed of 5 main structures. These include:

  • Toll House
  • Gate House
  • Ice House
  • Retort House &
  • Bond Cafe

Retort House, Ice House & Toll House will be converted to office/ research/ industry usage – with the latter seeing a new substation; Gate House will undergo an extension and conversion to event space; Ice House will see a single storey glazed infill extension for office/research/industry use.

The existing canal towpath will be widened to adjoin a new floating pontoon, with new piers and entrance gates to the complex.

Eight pay and display car parking spaces will be available alongside one disabled space; 67 cycle storage spaces, including 21 for public use.
