The Binding Site is one of the UK's leading independent specialist medical diagnostic companies currently undergoing a substantial expansion. Founded by researchers at the University of Birminghamover 25 years ago, the company has grown into an international company, employing over 700 people from its 8 Calthorpe Road headquarters.

The intention is to move part of the operation to the Broadway building. Around 200 will make the move, which would soon rise to 450. The move would see part of the basement provide storage for raw and temperature-controlled materials; ground floor would provide manufacturing facilities; with floors 1-6 providing office space.
